| 1. Make sure garage floor is clean, dry and free of any
objects. | |
| 2. Sweep dirt out of garage and remove any lumps or excess
cement/debris that might cause a bump on the surface of the floor. |
|
3. For best results, let G-Floor material set and relax in driveway
for as long as possible to reduce instances of material expansion/contraction
before any tape down or trimming occurs.
| 4. Position G-Floor at front of garage, one roll at a time. | |
| 5. Roll floor out - front to back - and position carefully. | |
| 6. Use a broom to push out any air underneath floor. | |
7. When installing multiple rolls wall-to-wall, dealers can:
a. Overlap rolls (6" or more) -- OR -- b. Trim edges to
continue floor pattern by forming a tight butt joint between rolls. Use a two-sided
waterproof tape to bond rolls together to form one continuous floor by: |
|
|
7bi.
Fold back edge of roll #1. Attach tape along roll #1¹s edge (leaving Þ
of tape exposed) and fold back into position. DO NOT remove protective backing
from underside of tape. 7bii. Fold back roll #2 and carefully align along
edge of roll #1. Continue process for each roll. DO NOT tape G-Floor to concrete
floor. Let G-Floor "float" between exterior walls to allow for expansion
and contraction. | |
|
| c. Make a straight chalk line along threshold edge. Use two-sided water
proof tape to secure front entry edge of G-Floor to concrete floor. |
|
|
| 8. Trim floor to fit around poles, boards, etc. using utility/rug
knife or scissors. | |
| 9. Trim edges along exterior walls leaving 1Z2" gap
to allow for expeansion/contraction.
