Coating Concrete - ARMORGREEN
GREEN CONCRETE EPOXY Armorpoxy now offers you the opportunity for epoxy coating
of 'Green' Concrete (newly poured concrete) with an epoxy coating. Our
ArmorGreen concrete coating product line MUST be applied 24 hours after pouring,
so advance planning must be made.
If
you plan on using the ArmorGreen line of epoxies you need to be properly prepared
to apply 1-2 coats of ArmorGreen to your floor. Preparation includes having all
of your materials on hand and available, several sets of 'spiked
shoes' and enough material on hand to complete the job. We also advise you
to not add any concrete sealers to the concrete mix or on top as concrete sealers
conflict with epoxy adhesion. ArmorGreen is a special 'breathable' formulation
that reacts with the moisture in the slab for proper adhesion. If more
than 24 hours has elapsed, then you must wait until the concrete coating has cured
enough to apply our standard line of Armorpoxy coatings. To test for moisture,
lay down a sheet of clear plastic 4' x 4' and duct tape it on all four sides.
If, the next morning, there is a significant amount of moisture under the plastic,
then you must wait to coat the floor. High moisture levels can create havoc with
standard epoxies. For pricing and info on ArmorGreen concrete coating,
