ARMORPOXY POOL COATING. Armorpoxy's 2-part premium
epoxy pool paint high build coating gives maximum protection, as well as having
fill qualities for imperfect pool surfaces. Epoxy pool paint is designed for
maximum protection against blistering UV rays, chlorine, algae growth, and extreme
temperatures variations. Used by thousands of recreation departments throughout the country. It is also efficiently used for pool repair against signs
of wear and tear. Longest lasting against fade. Can be applied over most types
of epoxy pool coatings, as well as bare concrete, gunite, plaster, and marcite;
also perfect for whirpools, jacuzzis and spas. Dries quickly, durable and resists chipping,
chalking and abrasions.
ArmorPoxy is not for use on vinyl or pool tile.
SURFACE
PREPARATION: Use power washer to water blast surface to remove all loose paint,
dirt, oils and grease. Pools must be cleaned with a TSP
wash, scrubbing surface to get rid of scum, oil, dirt and suntan lotions, then
etched with a 15-20% solution of muriatic acid. Then thoroughly rinse pool surface
with TSP
again to neutralize acid, flush with plenty of fresh water, and allow to dry thoroughly.
Glossy surfaces should be power sanded to an 80 grit profile for proper adhesion.
WAIT 5 DAYS AFTER FINAL COAT BEFORE FILLING POOL WITH WATER. COLORS:
Available in White, Medium Blue, Aqua, Royal Blue, Sky
Blue, Black, Yellow, Red.

QUANTITY OF POOL PAINT REQUIREDBelow are the standard pool
configurations and their corresponding simple formulas to figure the square footage
of your pool. Keep in mind that the amount of paint you will need depends on whether
your pool surface is rough or smooth. The square foot coverage of each type of
pool paint will determine how much paint you will need.

RECOMMENDED DRY FILM: 4.0 mils
COVERAGE: Practical
coverage at two mils dry is 300 square feet per gallon on smooth surfaces. Recommended
thickness of 4 mils dry would require 2 full coats. Material losses during mixing
and application will vary and must be taken into consideration. Expect 50% less
coverage on bare, rough, or sandblasted surfaces.
VISCOSITY AT 75°F
(24°C): 70-80 KU
AVERAGE DRY TIME 75°F: Dries to the
touch in 30 minutes. Lower temperatures & higher humidity will slow down dry
times. Recoat in 24 hours. Allow 5 days for complete cure before filling pool
with water. Add 1 day dry time for each day of heavy humidity or rainy conditions.

REDUCER: Hi Flash Naphtha
RESISTANCE TO: Alkali, Algae, Mineral

APPLICATION: Brush, Spray or Roller (preferred)
Roll: 3/8" nap roller. Keep
roller wet. Roll in one direction, rewet, then cross roll.
Spray: Conventional
Air 50-70 psi, Tip Size .055-.070, Airless 2200-2500 psi, Tip Size .019-.023.
POT
LIFE: Not Applicable for 1-part ArmorPool. For 2-part pool paint 2-3 hours.
LIMITATIONS: Do not apply epoxy pool paint if material, substrate, or ambient temperature is
below 50°F or above 95°F. NOT FOR VINYL LINED OR METAL POOLS. (2
part epoxy is suitable for steel pools.)
SHELF LIFE: Minimum 12 months
depending on storage conditions.
MIXING: Mechanically mix well for
10 minutes, apply as it comes from the container, and thin as needed for proper
performance.
PACKAGE: 1 Gallon cans, 5 Gallon pails. 2-part epoxy
sold in 2 or 10 gallon kits.
