ARMORTILE LAYING INSTRUCTIONS

1. ArmorTile must be site conditioned at room temperature for 24 hours prior to installation. During this period room temperature must be maintained at 70° F +/- 5° F (21° C +/- 3° C).
   
   
2. Start by calculating the center of the room.
   
   
3. Lay tiles from the center working out towards the walls as per the diagram. First lay the full tiles then proceed with the trimmed tiles around the walls.
   
   
4. The tiles can be easily cut with a sharp utility knife, or electric saw.
   
   
5. A space of ¼” (6mm) expansion gap should be left at the walls and any other obstacles such as pillars and extremely heavy equipment.
   
   
6. Under normal circumstances the tile does not require adhesives, however adhesives should be used if
   a. Floor is exposed to high temperatures
   b. Tiles must resist high dynamic pressure
   c. Tiles are fitted in cold temperatures.
   
   
7. If the floor will be exposed to excessive liquids, a special Lock-tile® coating is available.
   
   
8. Tiles should be laid around heavy machinery and not under them.
