Estimating the amount needed:
Most common pools that have shallow/deep ends:
Length x width = Base Footage. Base Footage x 1.7 = actual square footage. Multiply by 2 (for two coats needed) = Actual Square Footage.
Divide by 300 for gallons needed. Remember that the 2-part pool paint comes in 2 gallon ’sets’ so order 1/2 the amount of sets that you need gallons for.
Example: 20 x 40 pool
20 x 40 = 800, 800 x 1.7 = 1,360 sq ft. 1360 x 2 (coats) = 2,720. 2,720 / 300 = 9 gals. So you would order 9 gallons of 1 part, 5 kits of 2 part.
